LEX CONFERENCE 2026
The PR Weekend 2026: LEX Conference, organised by the UUM Law Students' Society, was successfully held on 4 April 2026 at the School of Law, Universiti Utara Malaysia, under the theme "Law, Community and Sustainable Justice." The conference aims to provide an engaging platform for law students and legal professionals to explore pressing legal issues through meaningful academic discourse and collaborative dialogue.
The conference featured discussions centred on six key themes:

These discussions encouraged participants to critically examine contemporary legal challenges while proposing practical and sustainable legal solutions.
The conference brought together students from leading institutions, including Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Brickfields Asia College (BAC), and Advanced Tertiary College (ATC), fostering meaningful exchanges of ideas and perspectives among future legal professionals.
Through expert-led sessions, position paper presentations, and interactive discussions, the conference seeks to strengthen participants' legal knowledge, critical thinking, and professional networks, while reinforcing the role of law in advancing equitable, inclusive, and sustainable justice for the nation.
LEX CONFERENCE 2025
The PR Weekend 2025: Lex Conference, organized by the UUM Law Students' Society which was held on 18 April 2025 at the School of Law UUM successfully provided an invaluable platform for budding legal professionals to delve into critical issues under the theme "Environment Law and Sustainable Development Policies". The highlight of the conference was the discussion on "The Effectiveness of Environment Law and The Law On Water and The Desalination of Water in Malaysia", which sparked insightful debates and discussions among attendees.
The conference featured a series of well-prepared position papers and presentations that not only showcased the participants' deep understanding of the legal complexities surrounding students' liberties but also reflected the diverse perspectives that exist within the legal community. The quality of the discussions was commendable, as students from prestigious institutions such as UM, UNISZA, MMU and the International Islamic College (IIC) contributed to the rich exchange of ideas.
The event's success was evident in the strong professional connections forged and the academic growth experienced by all who attended.
